Networking is the process of connecting two or more computers or devices so that they can share data, resources, and information. It allows users to communicate easily and share devices like printers and files within a limited area such as an office, school, or home. There are different types of networks, including LAN (Local Area Network), MAN (Metropolitan Area Network), and WAN (Wide Area Network), depending on the size and coverage area.
The Internet, on the other hand, is a global system of interconnected networks, often called a “network of networks.” It connects millions of computers worldwide and enables users to access information, communicate through email and social media, attend online classes, and perform activities like online shopping and banking. In simple terms, networking is a smaller system that connects devices locally, while the Internet is a vast global network that connects systems across the world.
